The mural TV socket is the technical detail that disappears in the decor — or that spoils it, if you don't pay attention to it.
One TV socket embedded in the wall, this is the clean solution to connect a TV to the cable network or TNT without letting wires hang. But like all the electrical elements visible in an interior, it participates — in good or bad — in the aesthetics of the room. A generic white plastic on an anthracite grey wall is a detail that hangs the eye precisely because it astonishes. A TV socket made of matt black or grey steel brushed in the same finish as the switches and the electric sockets in the living room, is exactly the opposite: an element that integrates without notice.
At Amberkiln, our TV sockets are available in several finishes that match exactly the range of switches and electrical sockets in the collection: brushed light grey with rounded edges, black matt with rounded edges, Aged bronze with rounded edges, wood and gold screws — to create complete and visually consistent electrical installations.
TV socket single or combined TV + RJ45?
The single TV socket has a single coaxial cable — enough if your installation requires only one TV connection to this location. If you also want an Ethernet network connection in the same place — to connect your box or Smart TV directly via cable — opt for the model TV + RJ45 combined on the same plate. This avoids having two separate plates side by side on the wall behind your TV cabinet, and gives a much more orderly rendering.
The TV socket is embedded in a standard box (67 mm) like any power outlet. The installation requires a coaxial cable that has been drawn in the wall before — if you do not have one, you will need to plan for this cable passage before you install the plug. In the case of a renovation, it is often easier to simultaneously pass coaxial, RJ45 and electric cables to avoid opening the wall several times.
Why match your TV socket with other electrical elements?
Behind a TV cabinet, several electrical elements often coexist: power socket, TV socket for the antenna, RJ45 socket for the box. If these three elements are in different finishes — plastic white for one, gold metal for the other, brushed grey for the third — the whole seems mismatched, even hidden by the furniture most of the time. Choose everything from the same range and the same finish, it is a reflex that takes a few seconds to buy and produces an immediately more neat result.
