Four circuits on a single plate — the quadruple switch is the answer to the most complex electrical installations, without multiplying the holes in the wall.
The4-way quadruple switch is the most complete format in our range. Four independent controls grouped together on a single wall plate: this is the solution for spaces where there are many lighting needs and where the wall is refused to be covered with superimposed plates. Loft, professional kitchen, large living room with several bright atmospheres, reception room — all situations where the quadruple switch is the cleanest and most coherent solution.
In concrete terms, the four controls can handle any combination of circuits: general lighting, recessed spotlights, LED headband, wall-mounted wall sconces, ceiling fan — everything connected to separate circuits can be controlled from the same point. The installation requires a recess box large enough to accommodate a quadruple plate. In the case of a renovation, check the dimensions of your existing box before ordering.
Standard or intermediate quadruple?
The distinction between standard and intermediate versions (in-and-out) also applies to quadruple format. The version Standard controls each of the four circuits from a single point. The version Intermediate allows to control each circuit from a second location — configuration adapted to very large parts with multiple inputs or traffic spaces where flexibility is important.
Check the wiring of your installation before choosing between the two versions. If your current wires are wired back and forth (three wires per circuit), opt for the intermediary; if the wiring is simple (two wires per circuit), the standard version is enough. In case of doubt, an electrician can identify the type of wiring in a few minutes.
Available finishes and consistency of installation
Our quadruple switches are available in the flagship finishes of the range: black matt, light grey brushed, Dark grey brushed, brushed gold and brushed grey and two-tone gold, with straight edges according to the models. A quadruple plate is by definition visible — it is a larger surface than a single or double, which occupies a prominent place on the wall. Choosing a nice finish is therefore even more important here than elsewhere. Combine your quadruple with electrical outlets and other switches in the same room in the same finish for a visually controlled result.
