The 2-way dual switch combines two independent controls on a single plate — a space gain and visual consistency that is appreciated from the first glance.
Two lighting circuits, one wall socket. That's the logic of the2-way double switch, and it responds to very concrete situations in everyday life. In a living room, it can order the main lighting and the mood lamps separately. In one room, the ceiling on one side and the bedside wall sconces on the other. In a kitchen, hood and worktop. Wherever two circuits coexist in the same space, the double switch simplifies the installation and gives it a cleaner rendering than a plate with two separate switches.
Double 2 channels standard or intermediate?
As with the single switch, there are two configurations. The double standard controls each of its two circuits from a single point. The double intermediate — also called double back and forth — allows you to control the two circuits each from two different places. This configuration is more rare but useful in large rooms with multiple inputs or in open spaces where control flexibility is appreciable.
Our double models are available in standard and intermediate versions depending on the finishes. Check your installation before ordering: if your current wiring is going back and forth, choose the intermediate version; if it is a simple installation, the standard version is enough.
Finishes and styles available
Our selection of double switches covers the same finishes as our complete range: black matt, light grey brushed, Dark grey brushed, brushed gold, Aged bronze, matt white and white matt and gold bicolor — available with straight edges or rounded edges according to the models.
The double switch is slightly wider than a single one but fits in the same standard recess box format. However, check the dimensions of your existing box before ordering, especially if you replace a single switch with a double — the box may need to be expanded, which requires intervention in the wall.
For a consistent installation, combine your double switches with the simple electrical sockets and switches of the same range and finish. This is the simplest gesture to transform a functional electrical installation into an installation that contributes to the overall aesthetics of the room.
