At Amberkiln, we offer a selection of brushed steel wall switches, gold, matt black or grey finishes, designed to fit in interiors that do not neglect any detail. Because a well-chosen switch completes a decorative set — it harmonizes with door handles, light fixtures, electrical sockets — and contributes to this visual consistency that makes the difference between an ordinary interior and a really neat interior.

Simple, double, triple or quadruple: how to choose the right format?

The first criterion of choice is obviously the number of lanes you need. One single switch 1 channel control a single lighting circuit from a single point. This is the most common case, adapted to the majority of parts. Our simple steel models are available in a dozen finishes — matt black, brushed light grey, brushed dark grey, brushed gold, aged grey, bronze, matt white and white/two-colored gold — to fit all interior styles.

One 2-way double switch allows control of two independent circuits from the same plate. Ideal for a room where you want to manage the main lighting and bedside wall sconces separately, or for a living room with several light areas. Our doubles are available with or without intermediate function depending on the electrical configuration of your installation.

The triple 3 lanes is suitable for loft-type open spaces or multi-purpose rooms, while the quadruple 4 lanes is for more complex configurations — professional kitchen, large living room with separate areas, or corridor with several lighting points. These larger sizes are available in matt black steel, brushed grey, dark grey and gold, in versions with straight edges or rounded edges according to the chosen range.

Our Intermediate switches I would like to mention this in particular. Unlike a classic back and forth switch, the middle allows you to control the same circuit from three different points — convenient in a long corridor, a stairwell or a large room with several entrances. This type of switch is often forgotten during the renovation and later regretted.

Materials and finishes: brushed steel as a new standard

Long dominated by white or ivory plastic, wall switches have been experiencing a real aesthetic revolution for some years. Brushed steel has become the reference of contemporary interiors. Its slightly textured surface captures light differently according to the hours of the day, resists finger marks better than glossy plastic, and ages with elegance without degrading.

Our range covers several distinct decorative universes. The matt black is the choice of resolutely contemporary and minimalist interiors – it perfectly combines with black metal light fixtures, dark handles and clean furniture. The light grey brushed with rounded edges It is softer and more versatile; it integrates into a Scandinavian interior as well as a Haussmannian renovation. The brushed gold brings a warmth and discreet luxury very appreciated in Parisian apartments or interiors with Art decorative atmosphere. Aged bronze suitable for houses of character, industrial lofts or interiors that claim a patina and a history. Matte white and white/two-tone gold remains the most classic finish, which integrates into virtually all contexts without taking any risk.

Some models in our collection also include a Localization LED — a small light point visible in the dark that allows to find the switch without groping. Convenient in a room or hallway with little light.

Decorative switch and electrical installation coherence

A switch doesn't buy itself. For a really successful result, it must be part of a coherent set with the electrical sockets of the same space. Our collection offers switches and electrical sockets in the same finishes, allowing to create a visually unified electrical installation from one end to the other of a room.

This consistency is particularly visible in the open spaces — living room-kitchen, loft, bedroom with dressing room — where the various electrical elements are often visible at the same time. A matt black switch combined with a matte black socket and USB sockets of the same range produces a much more neat effect than a mismatched assembly of disparate references. This is a minimum effort for an immediate result.
